Sunshine and Rain

Sunshine and Rain

I’m sittin’ here,
All alone,
A bottle of whiskey in my hand.
Waiting for the day you’ll come back to me,
And we can finish what we had planned.

I look outside,
To what you left behind,
And I can’t help but wonder,
How’d I end up,

Sittin’ on the side lines,
Watchin’ as life goes by,
Waiting on the pain to fade.

Looking at the blue skies,
Wishing you would drive by,
Feelin’ the tears on my face.

But I know,
Oh, I know,
That when the tears dry
And when the memories start to fade,
Everything will remain the same.

You left us here,
All alone,

Sunshine and rain.
