Poem -

sweet child of mine

The day is fine sweet child of mine
The sun is out and warm
Butterflys flicker out in the field
The tall wild sweet grass of home
Above us is a heavenly blue
Below a firm and glorious green
The thoughts that plague men
Are far from this place
God in his mercy has left us this
Why would even a fallen angel
Not revel in the perfection of day
AS a handiwork of the creator God
Such as they and time without end
Oh sweet child of mine
Your eyes sparkle and shine
The rise and fall of your breath
As you lay in the new mown grass
I watch over you as i will forever
Even death can't tear me away
I trust in the One above
Sweet child of mine
