The Sweet Freedom of Indifference

Watching the men of war
standing hungry and waiting
with sword in hand
to plunder
to penetrate the walls
she has carefully erected
she stays resolute with steely will
She's the woman
who gave up on love
the unreachable one
staying ahead of the pain
holding memories
tight to her bosom
closing every door
throwing away every key
warming between her legs
with the sweet freedom of indifference  Â

Garth Brooks, thanks Flower....I went on Youtube and listened to it and it made me cry like a babyman; what a sad and profound song; Garth captured everything in that song; not a big fan of most of his other songs, but that one moved me for sure... that is a truly great song; damn, I'm going to go listen to it again, but this time I hope I don't cry....cheers my friend
Beautiful words angel it's nice to see you writing.... yes has indifference has many forms should we all remove indifference from our souls and become one with love.... the biggest fear is what we hold within our mind not our hearts
Love and hugs angel had a great life journey

Hi Chris I can see a woman shutting down and closing her doors because she is tired of getting hurt like she has before. Â The dance is by garth brooks . Was this poem based on it some ? Cheers hrl
hey HRL, yeah basically that is what the poem is about, she is not tired of getting hurt she can see the bs so clearly and her standards are very high, I remember who inspired it but I'm not at liberty to say, lol...thanks for comment pal
