Sweet Temperament

Oh sweet temperament
Who’s wishful gazeÂ
Swiftly elevates this crestfallen heartÂ
Brave eyes who challenge even the darkest of poolsÂ
That brood in uncharted woundsÂ
How your innocence defies those melancholy betrayalsÂ
That seek to set sail this floundering soulÂ
Into an eternal sunsetÂ
Yet...here you standÂ
Doe-eyed
With tiny handsÂ
Unwittingly the propulsion of lightÂ
To these dark lands

Many many thanks Jim. So glad you liked it x
Beautiful write Gwen. I'm just figuring out who this is about.Â
cos it sounds like its about a child.
love your unique style.
Pxxx
Hi P, you are spot on. This is about the power of a child’s innocence. Something I have become ever so appreciative of. My son has unknowingly pulled me out of some dark moments.Â
Love to you my friend, and thanks for liking this oneÂ
❤️
Greg, many thanks for liking and the pin my friend. I am always so happy you visited my page xÂ
Firstly GWEN ~ you have chosen a PERFECT picture to represent this truly moving write.......Secondly ~ I must say I found the subtleties of this piece driving home the intent quite powerfully.....it's in the word choices.....like "crestfallen", "brood", "floundering", all setting a melancholy tone only to be met at poems end with the power and the hope that light provides ~
~ "Unwittingly the propulsion of light
          to these dark lands...."
It is a kind of tribute to a most powerful soul......your son....and the temperament.....who's strength is in his naivete' and pure faith in his mother!!......PINNED!!......nothing like a mother's love or son's immovable faith!!......Beautifully done dear poet sister!!......LOVE & ROCKETS!!.......T xo : )
Thanks Tony for this beautiful comment on this piece. Means so much what you said, I am so glad the picture connected with the poem for you. I really wanted to bring the poem through the image. You picked up on all its intent and graced me with your kindness once again.Â
many many thanks lovely friendÂ
Gwen x
good morningÂ
did you see theÂ
rocket go up
this morningÂ
this one was goingÂ
hit the astoid and
destroy it
Hello Greg, I read spaceX are to practice crashing rockets the size of refrigerators at astroids, that potentially could harm earth. I think it’s to at the least nudge them off course so they don’t hit us. But I didn’t get to see the launch as been busy with mummy duties and stuff. Did you see it? Have they been successful?Â
I saw it after it went up hours later it went up at 1:30 in the morning and I finally caught it at like 4 o’clock in the morning when I had it on the NASA channel you can go watch it Oh NASAÂ
I will do that Greg, thanks for the heads up :)Â
A truly beautiful beautiful write Gwen...an eternal unbreakable bond expressed in ink...hugs đź’–
Thank lovely ❤️ Hugs back xx
