Switching Off

When I get home tonight
I won't switch my laptop on,
Nor surf the 'net on my phone;
Instead, under a lamplight, I'll read a story instead;
Perhaps one of Kipling's or a Sherlock Holmes.

I'll listen to Beethoven
As the sun goes down,
And evening turns to twilight.
Without the clutter and buzz of what's on the web
I'll sleep peacefully and restfully tonight.
