SELFLESS LOVE

SELFLESS LOVE

Teach me to loveĀ
With all that's in me

Holding back nothing

Unrestrained and free

Let there be nothing

That hinders my love

For there is none other

Besides my Beloved

Was it Your smile

Your eyes of pure blue

Was it Your Presence

All I know; Is it's You

You taught me how to loveĀ

When all I knew was pain

One look into Your eyes

I couldn't pull back, refrainĀ

Your love, like the ocean

Billows of love washed over me

Changing me forever

Unrestrained and free

Teach me to love

With no thought about me

Love is not love

Lest it's unrestrained and free
Ā

Why does it always feel so wrong,
So far from peaceful, never strong.
