TEACH ME HOW TO PRAY

TEACH ME HOW TO PRAY

Teach me how to pray
O Lord
You know what's best for me
Let not my words be empty
But of faith and honesty

You see my thoughts afar off
You know the workings of my mind
The path I take is before you
You have numbered my days
And time

What offering can I give to you
Since you own the world
How can lips of clay praise you
The One who calls forth the day

Who knows your dwelling place
Or ever seen your face
Angels covers their eyes
For your glory will melt them away

Teach me how to pray O Lord
Shine your light within my heart
Show me my hidden sins I pray
That I may repent
And have a brand new start.
