Teardrops On My Pillow

Teardrops On My Pillow

There’s a moisture that lays right by my face, as I try to sleep each night;

It’s the teardrops on my pillow, from darkness to dawn’s first light!

They come from deep within my heart, that is broken clear in two;

Sent there by my sobbing soul, so lonely without you!

But as slumber finally claims me, my sorrow disappears;

For in dreams we are together, and laughter replaces tears!

We hold, we kiss, we love again, in soulmate’s ecstasy;

But all too soon the vision ends, and you’re no longer here with me!

I reach for where you just have been, but grasp only empty air;

Awake, I realize it was but a dream, more sorrow than I can bear!

The teardrops rebegin their incessant fall, as my heart and soul both weep;

I pray that soon we’ll hold again, and that quickly, I’ll fall back into sleep!

I like it Larry! Reminds me of my poem "the door".  Sleep can provide refuge or restlessness...  Blessings!*!*!

Hi Jackie,

The door to happiness, is to be reunited with lost loves.  Yet, because they last for only fleeting moments, the door slams shut, bringing the tears of eternity.

Peace and Love,

My Dear Brother Tony,

As usual you are able to ingest the very core of the essence of my words.  Every time I see your name forthcoming in a comment, I tear into it like a little boy ripping open a box of crackerjacks. Ultimate pleasure, never ending joy.

Peace, Love and Rockets,

Larry xxx
