Born your footprints I follow,

Deep but early faded,

Lost in my world,

Left alone to fend,

Life’s many trend.

Tears of sadness left,

For the sand to swallow.

My own to create,

New prints,

For you my little one,

I won’t let fade,

Deeper will grow,

Tears of joy will show,

For you to step in and follow.
