Tears of Stone

Tears of Stone

Melting iceΒ in a whiskey glass,
Oscillated rings slowlyΒ pass.
Maddening silence, impending doom,
Resonate inΒ heart's heavy gloom.

Pickled by a briny past,
A bit 'o salt for tequila blast.
Melancholy to the very bone.
Finding comfort inΒ a tinklyΒ tone.

Sorrow drowned in amber cask,
Painted smile on Harlequin mask.
Hide notions like shame,
No one for to take blame.

Sway toΒ music by hair 'oΒ dog,
Keep hurt in oblivious fog.
Harden a heart, no feelings shown,
Till you cry tears of stone.

Being Me

Oh... I can hear the clink of ice in the whisky. You allow your reader to feel a numbness in this write. Brilliant! ??? x
