Teenage Lash

Teenage Lash

Ouch, that stung
Wondering who in the world I have become

“Another one,” I say as the blunt reaches my lips
Received only from the guy that I have kissed
Oh, how soon until I will be over this?

Ouch, that stung
Wondering who in the world I have become

Straight A’s turn into D’s
Crushing future plans of traveling seas
In hopes to help people in need

Ouch, that stung
Wondering when I will be done

Done crushing my dreams intentionally
Knowing I’ll lose myself eventually
