Thanks You Soldiers

I want to say thank you to all the soldiers that fought to protect me and my rights.
I can't even imagine the long restless nights and the fearsome fights.
I appreciate the sacrifices you've made just to protect Us.
Leaving your loved ones behind just to protect millions of strangers who sometimes consider you supercilious.
Through the blood, sweat, and tears I’m glad you stayed strong and pushed through.
I wish I could do more to help soldiers understand that I look up to all of you.
Maybe one day I'll be strong and brave.
Maybe one day I’ll walk in your footsteps and take a stand for the weak.
I just want to let all you soldiers know that I appreciate you.
I’m proud to say that “I am an American!”
And that’s all because of you.
