That Old Oak Tree ❤️

That Old Oak Tree ❤️

Oh how I loved to swing in the old oak tree..that rope tied to a tyre that my dear old Dad made for me.. Pushing my legs out..pulling my feet in..if the rope suddenly snapped I would take it on the chin...

Those were the days when everything was fun.. hanging out with my friends in the midday sun..racing to the old oak tree after school, trying my best to be first...I used to win as a rule...

You see there was only one swing on the old oak tree, so we had to take turns.. my chums & me..but ‘Golly gosh’ it was great as we played out late.. as I reminisce about us running to that tree through the gate....
