That smell

Do you too
Know that smell
When spring arrives
I'm put under a spell
I can't describe it
But my brain archives
And that smell survives
In my head
Throughout winter
It looks ahead

Or do you remember
Your mum's perfume
She used to wear
And that one day
You were aware
Of that familiar fragrance in the air
And how you felt
As you were taken back
To the times of teddy bears
Without knowing any of the world's affairs
When you played musical chairs
And when you ran up the flight of stairs
So you wouldn't get caught
By a monster
Then you said your prayers
And went to sleep
Without nightmares

Sorry,
I just lost my train of thought
