Poem -

That sunset

My love I can not offer you a meal
on this banquet table made of sand
But from this peak our eyes do feast
where the salty sea meets the land

The crackle of the burning trees
Filling a hole lined with stones
Sends smoky swirls to join the wind
Chasing a horizon of orange tones

Sky and earth emit a warming glow
embers mirroring the fading sun
Melted we sit in the corroded rocks
Watching the spectacle that's begun
