The 21st of May
Thoughts of you pass gently by
Like the billowy clouds in a clear blue sky
I remember like it was yesterday
It was a perfect Friday on the 21st of May
We spent the day in each other's arms
Lying in the wheatfield of my father's farm
I said I loved you for the very first time
You kissed my lips and said you were mine
We spent that evening under a moonlit sky
Not a single moment seemed to ever pass by
Time had stopped for us that day
The hands of time had lost its way
Our eyes never left each other's sight
As we held one another long through the night
How your face sparkled like the brightest star
That could be seen from near and from afar
I know we'll be back in a wheatfield again
I just don't know that destined time when
But for now I'll forever cherish that day
On that perfect Friday...the 21st of May
