The Absoluteness of Love

I am planting my love in a flowerpot
and cultivating it with tenderness
and gentle drops of rain
I am placing my love on a book page
so he can learn how to love me back,
perhaps from the whispers
of those ancient pages
I am wrapping my love in moonlight
and let him quietly rest
upon the breasts of a red rose.
I want to know what love is!

Hello from Bernadete 💗
Well done. Excellent as always!
Very nice of you John. Cheers.
Stunning imagery :-)
Hi HumanSpark, thank you for your lovely words. Please know that it’s very much appreciated.
Hi Bernie, great to receive your thoughts. What a wonderful way to see this. Ah, “resting upon the breasts of a flower” it’s from my poem “Brevity of Time”.
You have a such good memory, mate. It only says that when you read a poem, you pay attention.
Keep well my friend.
I want you to know
Absolutely bloomin delightful poetry Bernadete .. Neville
Thank you! and I am delighted that you like it.
In fact I liked it so much, I came back for another helping .. Neville 😎👍
Glad to have found you by way of Marion... Like this a lot, the tenderness and the teaching. It took my wife a hard fight getting me out of the trenches, not for not wanting, but for the complications of a childhood (though hers was even more in need of a hard fight... We got ourselves out of the swamps eventually, having been married for only 37 years now and not rueing one minute🤗. Gonna read some more
What a nice surprise! Nice to meet you, John.
Leaving the trenches and getting out of the swamps
takes a great deal of courage and willpower. I am glad you did.
Give each other a tap on the back and a good cuddle.
Happy writings.
Bernadete
Well, yes, but is also gives me a lot of poetry, much of what I write is generalized into words...
Just curious (being Dutch): have you any idea of your Dutch roots (surname can only be originally Dutch - the Flemish would have made it into Vanderwielen in most cases).
You are looking at the bright side of life, it's so good to see, John.
it gave you lots of Poetry, and I hope you'll always find comfort in
the arms of poetry. Greetings,
Bernadete
Thanx, looking at the bright side has been the saving of our lives, it kept us fighting for s better future. It does nobody any good remaining miserable, besides, some of the hurts were done over 50 years ago😱😅, about time we let go🤗
