The accident

We fell in love as children 
or this is how time will have us
Strewn together like pen to paper 
Like words to poems that never end 
Like stories that you can’t stop reading 
Falling into the pages 
Rereading the ones you leave bent 
We chase each other endlessly 
Our feet stomping the streets 
Lost in a game of tag 
Our I love yous tied to hide and seek  
Find me again and again 
As I will find you in every lifetime 
And every page 
In every window of my memories 
You are the one that doesn’t fade 
You are my poetry my lyric
To every love song ever made 
How dare life try to rip you from me 
How unfair it is to be locked in
Lost in this fog that cast over us
As if we were never those children 
Laughing…Endlessly 
Loving innocently… & currently 
Just a memory I’m dying to hold onto 
I love you.  
i will find you again. 
We are tied to one another
