THE ACCUSED (OR NOT)

They put on some handcuffs and took him away
Questions were saved for later on in the day
The police were sure they had their man
The accused arrested ended up in a van

Taken to the cells the accused asked for a lawyer
One was appointed whose name was William Sawyer
Questions now asked of where how and when
The accused remained silent so he was asked again

Time moved on and the accused gave his reply
A case of mistaken identity I'm not going to lie
He was not guilty but was made out to be
Looking for a scapegoat it appears to me
