The Bearcat and Goliath

The Bearcat and Goliath

The battle is set for New Years Eve, in a Colosseum called “The Cotton Bowl”;
For one, there will be a victory, for the other, the bells will toll!
Alabama sends its mighty “Goliath”, seasoned and feared throughout the land;
While Cincinnati, in its first war ever, sends its “Bearcat” to take a stand!
.
Most those throughout the nation, think the Bearcat will be slain;
That the gargantuan Goliath, will continue his deadly reign!
But if history serves me correctly, be prepared for a giant surprise;
When the Bearcat flings the football, that brings Goliath his demise!
.
.
Ye of little faith
Are in for a giant shock
A new king will reign

My Dear Brother Tony,

I've got a lot riding on this game, because Linda has promised me to start the New Year off with a "bang", if the Bearcats are victorious.   If they lose, looks like I will have to wait another year.  Ha, Ha!
Happiest of holidays.

Love,
Linda and Larry xxx
