The Beaten Tracks

Today I walked the old and beaten tracks
Than run through my town.
Once they were used by horses and traps
And still they can be found.
To be out in fresh weather,
Walking,
You can appreciate tbe view
In a way that in a car
You are unable to do.
Aftsr a time my feet begin to ache
As like to pain old travellers
Might have felt
Walking in the open air:
Nature's indifferent to your wealth.
When eventually I am back home
I appreciate my creature comforts.
Out now from tne cold and wind:
I've warmth and towels and blankets.
I feel calm.

Walking out in the countryside is good for the soul! And as beautiful as it is out there, it is super nice to get back in the warm. Nice poem x
Hi Michael,
I love your insightful work, about one who dares to venture into the world.
I venture from my abodal safety
To walk "The Beaten Tracks"
They bring me untold satisfaction
My heart and Soul both wracked
Peace and Love,
Larry xxx
