The Belle of the Lake

The Belle of the Lake

She spends her days fishing
Near the hut where she lives
The Belle of the Lake
One of God’s greatest gifts.

She's a pretty, young lady
With brown eyes and pink cheeks.
She fishes in summer;
The days through to weeks.

Composed and peaceful she sits
Till she catches a fish
Then she pulls up the pole
Whilst making a wish.

The Belle of the Lake
Can often be seen
Serenely fishing
For fish for her tea.
