Poem -
THE BEST I CAN BE
WHY CANT YOU BE LIKE YOUR BROTHER,Ā
YOUR SISTER, OR YOUR FRIEND,
WORDS THAT CUT TO THE CORE,Ā
WHEN YOU ARE NOT EVEN TEN.
I RECALL THE FINGER WAGGLING IN MY FACE,
THE STERN LOOKS, BROWS SLANTEDĀ
AS THE SPITTLE, FLEW ALL OVER THE PLACE.
I DEAR NOT RESPOND,
NOT LIKE THE CHILDREN OF TODAY,Ā
NOT IF YOU WANTED TO LIVEĀ
TO SEE ANOTHER DAY.
WHATEVER MOM OR DAD SAIDĀ
WAS THE LAW OF THE LAND,
AND IT WOULD DO YOU GOODĀ
TO BE LIKE YOUR FRIEND.
BUT AS YEARS GO BY
AND WITH CHOICES IāVE MATURED,
IVE OUTLIVED MY FRIENDS,
AND EXPLORED THE WORLD.
IāVE LIVED A LIFE, WONDERFUL AND FREE,
WHEN I FOUND OUT THIS TRUTH,
THAT THE BEST PERSON I CAN BE,
IS ME.

Until everyone agrees no one's perfect parents can have very high expectations of their children...
Some people say their kids are as Dumb as a box of rocks...
Very hurtful words...
If we don't love ourselves too it's a bad combination...
We have to Fake it to make it sometimes...
But, that's a part we get to that we can plow right throw it and then we're grown up...
It's different steps for different people...
People like you recognized that you had to love yourself and ...
You did...
I'm alone with myself more than anyone else...
I decided I need to be pretty cool person to hang with...
I'm stuck with me...
Why not have try and have a good day?
Things are going to break, things might get spilled, and laugh even when you don't want to?
