The Best Of The Best

The ultimate rating that someone can have; is when they’re the “best of the best”;

It happens not often, for they are so rare, someone who betters the rest!

But the day I saw you I knew I’d struck gold, and discovered the Zenith of life;

And I knew that I wanted you e’er by my side, to be my beautiful wife!

Then providence smiled and granted me more, for you felt the same way as I;

We pledged all of our love and mated our souls, until the day we would die!

And now through the years we’ve traveled so far; climbed mountains, touched their near stars;

We’ve soared through the skies and kissed on the moon, and walked on planets afar!

I finally was blessed with the “best of the best”, the soulmate that I’d always sought;

As oft times before, it was only “Fool’s Gold”; it would end with a heart that was wrought!

But now here you are the love of my life, the keeper of my very soul;

The “crème de la crème”, right by my side, this union in Heaven foretold!
