The Betelgeuse

I walked in the night to seek
What was pushing me into wanting
Wanting to know what is out there
In the cold darkness of nothingness

As I walked and seemed to walk forever
I came to the light of realization
That the earth I have walked on
May not be sovereign
I may not be untouched

And in wonderment I saw the light of my realization was brighter than it was before
I closed my eyes
Then looked to the skies 
Saw the star of profound size...
The Betelgeuse
I opened my eyes and came to see

That I only envisioned...such uncertainty

The Betelgeuse will shine
It shall shine...
and burn in my memory
