The Birthday Boy

The Birthday Boy

Hi,
There is a little glitch in the photo.  You can see it if you turn your head sideways.

Thursday was my seventy third birthday, gorgeous Linda took me out;
We dropped Cody at his groomer, had four hours to “Twist and Shout”!
Her hair was down and dirty, my favorite of her do’s;
She wore the hat she looks so hot in, both made my juices spew!

.
The trattoria opened at eleven, we had two hours before to kill;
We went to a quiet park and canoodled, with passion and much thrill!
Then we drove to have our meal, we did dinner time for lunch;
At a gourmet Italian restaurant, that packs a solid punch!

.
The wait staff was so lovely, they catered our every whim;
They could not believe our ages, said “You look so young and trim”!
They took the photo we are using, to remember this joyous day;
And show it to our dear friends, for memories ever stay!

.
They sang me “Happy Birthday”, serving a candled Tiramisu;
I blew it out in one puff, made a wish I knew would soon come true!
And what I’d hoped for kinda’ happened, in the early evenings’ light;
We climbed into bed with good intentions, but fell asleep while holding tight!

Told you earlier, you're not growing older but younger....One would never guess your age by just looking at you and most especially looking at you and Linda.....It's so rare to see people your age glowing the way you do. I'm glad you had a fun filled Birthday

Love you all

My Dear Sweet Rose,

My Birthday just keeps getting better with these beautiful words from my beloved poetic soulmates. You will find as you get older, that age is just a number, and if you keep a positive attitude and think young, that is the way you will stay.  Although, we have to say that we both have a hard time believing how old we are, compared to how old we feel.  We look at photographs of our grandparents when they were our age, and think we look more like their children.

All our love,
Linda and Daddio xxx
