Poem -

The Book

The Book

I rose
and asked
no questions
from a phone
call that awoken
my sleep

hearing
but not
comprehending

the ending of
a chapter

How I wish
I could start
from the beginning
Skipping
the unpleasantries
while concentrating
on the joys

Cast of characters
come to life
stimulating
the reader

some should
have been
written off
but not you

you kept
things
in context
you encouraged
growth
along the way

Your absence
now
weighs down
the foregoing
chapters

Yet it is
in your absence
that  growth
becomes
realized

Providing
passion
and the
ability
to say something
when faced
with a
dry quill

making
 meaning
more easily digestible
to comprehend

This poem is about the book of life and losing a loved one along the way.  So your comments were disrespectful to me

Being Me

This is clearly drenched in the emotion caused by  losing a close loved one . The words are beautifully written. I am just sorry that i have not seen this until now xx
