The boy who never grumbled

The boy who never grumbled

The boy lived with his dad,
they were happy together,
the thing the boy never did was grumble,
when it came to Christmas time
he never asked for anything,
when the day came he opened his presents
and appreciated them;
never grumbled.
now he is a man,
he's got a job but the pay isn't very good
but he doesn't grumble,
he is grateful for it ,
some of his friends are in the Wales rugby team,
he was as good as them,
never got the call up ,
there is no jelousy,
just good luck wishes for the boys,
he simply doesn't grumble.
it was three years after he passed his driving test
until he drove another vehicle,
all of his peers had new fast cars
but he simply could not afford one,
didn't come from a rich background,
was actually brought up in poverty
if you adhere to the government guidelines;
and still,
he never grumbles.
