The broken girl

The broken girl she smiles, she speaks, she works on the outside, but when you open her up and see what's inside the broken pieces, the scars, the fears, her whole life; and inside of her the little girl she used to be is crying in a corner, asking you how this happened? Why did you do this to her? What did she do to deserve this? With tears in your eyes you'll respond that you don't know because you really don't, you don't know this girl, you don't know her story or what she's been through, you don't know her, but you can't help but cry with her because somehow you feel her pain. This little broken girl who still has so much to learn from the world, but has experienced so much, so far; so much pain and loss, when you see that little girl inside of the woman standing in front of you, you'll understand that we as people don't really know much of what is going on in the world and that in every single one of us is a little broken girl or boy...
