The broken promise

Why was it so hard for you to keep a simple promise??
You promised you wouldn't leave... you promised.
And it sucks because you made me break my promise too.
I promised not to leave either... to keep loving you. Now I can't because you left.
Maybe it wasn't your choice to leave but you could have stopped doing what I pleaded for you to not do and that choice wouldn't have been made for you.
You left.
I asked you to stop. You said it was okay, you were fine. Not hurting anything.
But you hurt me.. Hurt me in a way I never knew I could hurt.
How could you?
Not only do I have to deal with the mess you left behind... but also the physical ache of your absence..

Ah such broken promises are very common among poets from many parts of the world yet if u can express nicely and well it should help u move on and keep writing. Trust me there's plenty of fish in the sea. Thumbs up.

I like how you described a pain of guilt inside your message of blame. It shows how even when another does wrong we will still hold ourselves partly responsible.
