"The Broken Scale"

Kind of illegal
Sort of sinful
A little more wrong than right

Disproportionate is the scale

What is unethical
It is rudimentary
What is antithetical
So contrary

The black overshadows white

That is what is bad
Evil to an extent
What makes the sane go mad
Confused and impotent

Leading to the loss
of the mind's sight
And the ability to tell
wrong from right

The black overshadows

Unsound and detrimental
Lost and non-supplemental
Darkness in the light

Equilluibrium is restored

What is grey
Will soon be blue
The dawn of a new day
We will renew

The night is darkest before the dawn...
