Poem -

THE BROKENNESS OF A HEART

THE BROKENNESS OF A HEART

I tore at my soul

I poured out my heart

I fell on my knees

And then, fell apart

I begged and I pleaded

I prayed and I cried

God, please spare his life

As I stood by his side

God said; I heard your plea

I felt your soul tear apart

Though you can't understand, My child

Please trust My heart

Just because you can't see him

It doesn't mean he's not there

He lives on in your heart

He's everywhere

One day, you'll be reunited

As though you were never apart

You won't remember sorrow

Or the brokenness of a heart
