Hi daddy said the caller 
Hello sweetheart answered 
the caller's father. 

How are you doing today?
I'm doing fine baby.

Dad, I need to tell you 
something important. 
What is it sweetheart? 

I know that i don't really tell 
you this a lot but I love you 
and I truly appreciate you 
just for being in my life. 

There was silence on
the other end of the phone. 

I heard my father cry
for the first time. 

He finally said every 
father waits for the day
that their children to say 
that they appreciate what 
we do for them

This made me cry.

I know it was not easy 
for you and mom to raise 
me, but I know that you did
your best.

It's not the fact that I did 
my best. I had to do what I 
had do  because God saw
It fit to make you mine.
