The Calling

The Goddess infinite

The Calling

The night is silent like ice
The chill sets in bone and blood
Clouds of steam from the horsesĀ
As they struggle in the snow
I feel my heart beating like a drum
Pounding inside this mortal breast
Lift mine eyes unto the stars
As we light a beacon fire
Setting the place of callĀ
For the feminine force field
The Goddess herself tonight
No wind or breeze yet
I feel the tendrils of air
stirring in another realm
Before the words were said
Before the circle formed
She appeared as a vision in white
In the midst of all in sight
Her voice rang out so true
Children I am the mother of desire
I am the beginning and the end
I am the matrix of this world
and the next
Blessings to you who seek
For you shall find
Love is the only truth
Light is the leader
Keep love alive in your hearts
Ye shall be free.

Being Me

Dagnis!Ā  I LOVE this! What images you bring to your readers' minds. I could hear that snow crunching and the horses snorting. I could hear the jingle of the harness all amid that thick silence that only snow can bring.Ā  And your description of the godess is divine. A fabulous poem x
