THE CHILDREN OF THE BELLS

THE CHURCH CLOCK
STRIKES MIDNIGHT
AND THE RAVEN
SIT ON EDGAR ALLAN POES GRAVE
AND CROW FLYS BY  AND CROWS
AT THE MIDNIGHT MOON
AND CHILDREN RING
THE BELLS TO WAKE UP
THE POOR SOULS OF
THE DEAD THEY ARE
THE CHILDREN OF THE BELLS
THE  MOON IS FULL
THE SKY IS CLEAR
AND THE CHILDREN
RING THE BELLS AND
SING THE SONGS OF
THE DEAD THEY ARE
THE CHILDREN OF THE BELLS
THE RAVEN FLYS AWAY
AND THE CROW SIT ON THE
GRAVE AND CROWS IN THE
MIIDNIGHT MOON AND THE
CHILDREN WALK THE GRAVES
AND SING THERE SONGS FOR DEAD
THE POOR SOULS WALK
IN THE NIGHT AND THE
CHILDREN RING THE BELLS
THEY ARE THE CHILDREN OF THE BELLS

Being Me

Well, it is lovely as it is or, if you really want to put something else in, you can always edit it to add anything new or change anything. Whatever you want to do, Greg, it is your poem x

Apologies Greg, almost missed this one but glad I now caught.
And so do love reading a dark one and one that leaps off the page for it is equally chilling , other worldly and unsettling.
In the ways a dark poem should be presented and your well written and conceived poem and it's haunting theme throughout is one that superbly draws a reader in and doesn't let go.
Thanks Greg and full honours to you for writing something different and this just shows how versatile a poet you are.

Greg if old Mario Lanza is haunting this poem then he's probably out body snatching.
Maybe your Ave Maria poem.
