THE CHRISTMAS BAUBLE

We decorated the Christmas tree
we really had a ball
Then I sat down looked around
and my tears, began to fall
I just could`nt stop them
I tried to hold them in
Another Christmas without you
where do IÂ begin
All our old traditions just a memory now
treasured by us all
We will remember them easily
always there, in minds recall
I wont forget you loved Christmas eve
you would be, excited as a childÂ
I wont forget you loved giving gifts
seeing all the smiles
Â
You gave us such great Christmas`s
we did`nt have  a lotÂ
But we were always happy
with what we had, or what we had not
It was always about family time
love, good cheer and fun
And of course you told us about
the nativity, the coming,of Gods son
Â
So this Christmas I hang a bauble
with a picture of you, etched in whiteÂ
It is placed near the top of our tree
shining out so bright
Christmas will not be the same
but the best we have to make
So I will wipe away the tears
for my mother in heaven, sake

Beautiful enjoyed.....Blessings
Hi  Lorris Thanks so much for your kind wordsÂ
Blessing to you tooÂ
Best wishes DebsÂ
My father absolutely loved this time of year and after he passed it was difficult to not break into tears whilst putting up decorations. He always made such an event out of doing so for the family. Now getting the tree just the way he would like brings cherished memories and I smile. Never do I feel he is closer than at Christmas.
Beautiful piece.Â
Thank you so much for sharing.

Hi Dear Debs,
Oh, our dear Debs. Â This is a real tearjerker. Â So beautiful how you honor your dear Mother with your precious memories of how she always made your holiday season such a joy. Â I am sure she is up in Heaven, and when she reads the loving words of her dear Deborah, she will smile forever. Â Christmas for you will never be the same, but through your lovely poetic verse, you will still, always share it with her.
Hugs, Peace and Love,
xox Larry
