The Church on the Hill
A walk through the graveyard

The church on the hill,
lies guardian to the still,
Eternity sleeps, a relative weep,
Together in darkness,
Alone in the light,
The church lies dormant & still,
Nesting in sadness,
Crow sings regardless,
In voice to the silent & still,
Trees, sway, leaves rustle,
Spring, summer, autumn winter,
The church remains silent & still,
Memories fade, but still they are present,
In flowers laid freshly,
Offered so freely,
By the lonely with time to kill,
Sheltered by the church on the hill.

Thankyou so much, I only wrote this poem today when I actually did walk through a graveyard, the picture I took for the poem is not far from my house Haha. Inspiration can come from anywhere, unexpected but I'll take it anyway.
Thanks again for your lovely comments, much appreciated ?
