The Corona Virus Easter

The Easter Bunny watched the news and was in deep despair,
"If I don't turn up on Sunday 12th they'll think that I don't care,"
So, he held a bunny meeting (bunnies don't get sick from the virus,)
Easter Bunny and his buddies made a plan that should inspire us.
They sent texts to every adult to explain their clever plan,
That they'd still deliver Easter eggs to every child in every land,
But with each delivery of eggs came a page of information,
Of how to include everyone, it would take some preparation,
Bunnies started making chocolate and printing up their guides,
Special bunnies were translating so all the languages would coincide,
Deliveries got underway, as they had to go worldwide,
When adults heard the secret "Bunny Knock" children had to run and hide.
Adults brought the baskets in, there were instructions to abide,
When all the children slept in bed, adults read the "Easter Bunny Guide,"
How to organise an egg hunt and film it on a phone,
Even if you didn't have a yard and couldn't leave your home.
Tips on how to catch the magic as the children laughed with glee,
With step by step instructions, how to post on social media for all the world to see.
Even councils had their part to play, wheeling giant screens onto the streets,
So all those without technology could witness this amazing bunny feat!
Hospitals ensured their patients all had access to either screen or phone,
To see their children and grandchildren hunting Easter eggs within the confines of their homes.
Children looked toward the cameras, each one blew a kiss and waved and smiled,
And that gesture showed the world that these tough measures are worthwhile,
That if we all pull together, we'll beat Corona Virus by a mile,
And simple hygiene tips we've learned, like, to wash our hands for quite a while,
Might even quash that influenza bug, to live winters in a far healthier style.
The bunnies went back to their warrens, all worn out, but happy as can be,
As whilst we separate for now, they've helped us all to see,
That it's ever so important, to support a sense of family.
