New Beginnings

New Beginnings

New beginnings, spark to flame
I've touched the fire, felt the rain,
ignite the future, fan the spark,
new beginnings, light the dark.
We're building an eternal flame,
life brings pleasure, sometimes pain.
Become the master of your mind
and chose the thoughts you leave behind.
It's only you, that you can change,
with effort, thoughts can re-arrange.
Acceptance brings a peace within,
with grounded truth you can begin.
I've touched the fire, felt the rain,
I've lived with pleasure and with pain,
I've chosen thoughts to leave behind,
I'm now the master of my mind.

The definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over and expect a different out come.
I needed to change some aspects of my life.
I needed to change my style of thinking.
