The country cottage 💕

Down a hillock, thru the valley where the little Lambs play

Surrounded by tall Oak trees, whilst branches sway

And that awesome Autumn falls within a glorious, golden array..

Now in that country cottage there lives a faithful, Farmer’s wife

She has milked in the dairy, Friesian Cows all of her life 

Where her hard working Husband has shared her insufferable strife

When the cold winds blow and it cuts just like a knife..

So this elderly couple have weathered very well

Living off the land, raising cattle they can sell

Mind you the winters will be  wicked and as harsh as hell
