The Crow Perched on my Lovers Grave

The Crow Perched on my Lovers Grave

As I stare at it
I wonder if he is really there
I am convinced
So I ask
\Why is the crow perched on the grave?
\He stares at me with his cold black eyes
As I wait for my answer
Yet he remains still
On the grave of all that is won and lost
\Why is the crow perched on the grave?
\Then my wish is made
My promise kept
Yet his wing unmoved
For his work is done
And he remains motionless
\I know now why the crow is perched on the grave
Sitting in silence
And waiting
