The Cruelty Of Life

The Cruelty Of Life

Bit by bit our beautiful love
was taken away by the cruelty
of life,  like the increasing of Helen's pain, we could no longer sleep In the same bed takeing the joy of snuggling In the warmth of her body the sent of her perfume
All stolen by the cruelty of life
slowly taken away, amazing the things you're able to do the next without any warning it all taken away
The joys of sharing a bath together washing each other soaping each others body's
because Helen could no longer sit or climb from the bath we compensated by standing under the shower holding each other close the flow of warm water cascading over our body's "Oh" so beautiful but Helen increasing inability to stand and walk all stolen by the cruelty of life but I'm
lucky I still have all the memories so far they have not been stolen by the
cruelty of life I hope they
never will
