The Dandelion Meadow

The Dandelion Meadow

Somewhere there's a flower out there
Beneath the ashes and dust
I'm sure there a flower somewhere
A little ray of hope beneath the rust
Come, little children, out of darkness
Come whereΒ the dandelions grow
Leave behind the dust and ash
And rubble that falls like the snow
So come, little children of ashes
And come, little children of war
SomewhereΒ there's a patch of soft grass
Where your tiny heads won't be sore
Yes come, little children of famine
Come, little children so dear
Come to the meadow where the flowers are
And where the sunbeams chase away the fear
