I know your heart has been broken 
Time and time again 
And you told yourself 
To stay clear of the pain

The sight of a rose makes you cry
And when you think about love 
Pieces of you die inside 

No one understands how much your soul aches
You thought the love experienced was genuine  
But soon you discovered it was a fake 

Now in isolation your heart has reclined
But those haunting memories 
Still occupies your mind 

Afraid to be exposed 
To the brutality of deceit 
You've accepted your fate 
Of a life incomplete
Living on the dark side of love.
