Poem -

The Darkest Ever End

Led on toward the bowels
Of the darkest ever end
We've been degraded in life
But, in our sickening death
The barriers will transcend

No hope beyond despair
As we breathe the last
Of the grey and gloomy air
Yet, It's kinder on our senses
Than what lies within the beastly fences

They loom like structural monsters
Engineered by something worse
Crowned with wire so macabre
As the sea of abject fear
Is dispersed by those not of this earth

And, though I've lost everyone
And everything I've ever known
My very essence, numb to the core
It will never mask the horror
Of the cold and empty eyes
As our eternal souls are torn
