Poem -

The darkness that lurks

Misery loves company,
As most would say.
But for my eyes only,
Misery hates happiness.
In it's true form,
Misery is the harness in the corners.
That hides in the back,
Of your depressed mind and soul.
The scariest part is,
When it creeps it's way to your feelings.
Like a monster under your bed,
It only comes out at your worst.
Playing games with people you love,
It makes you spiteful and mean.
Tearing down all of that trust,
Building instead walls of force.
So be very careful of how you feel,
Because misery won't stop until you're defeated.
