The day i spoke with death

The day i spoke with death

I stopped to look in the mirror today.
There was a guy staring back but his hair was grey.

He said  i would like to speak with you.
He said please take a moment it will just take a few.

You're no longer the little boy that I once knew.
You see he used to laugh, play, and smile too.

I've been watching you a very long time.
You feel comfort when you're alone, ever wonder why?

I know you were given a unfit dad, and mother too.
You needed them so much if only they knew.

Your dad was always drunk when he beat you black and blue.

you cried out in pain "what did I do!?"

Remember that time your mother beat you to the floor.
I know why you ran and hid when dad walked through the door.

They weren't good parent's and that is true.
They should be the ones to die, not you.

Your life story is such a twist.
I guess that's why you slit your wrist.
