Poem -

The day my eyes met the world

The day, my eyes, met the world
when my eyes raised open, I was
Amazed at what I saw I grazed
At the world I was amazed
At the faces and places
I went to

The day my eyes met the world
I was amazed, when the sun raised
in my eyes, and how it made me
Feel and how real the world is
When the days, my eyes, Met
The world

The day my eyes met the world
and I saw your face for the first time
It gave me a smile on my face as I giggled and we snuggled together
The day my eyes met the world

Aye, I agree with akk comments, my life truly started some 36 years ago when I met my (future) wife for the first time, I had seen her about and wondered about her and then it appeared she did English lit too... Love this!

Hi, Greg, yes, I had gathered that, but I feel truly born when I met my wife at 26 before that, my life was not one I would have chosen (to put it mildly) ✌️😇 I love the poem very much, but I got into the world without my twin brother who did not make it, for one, I have never felt as complete as I should have, agsin, meeting my wife made up hugely for that gap🌃 Again, hanx fir the piece
