Poem -

THE DEADLY BITE OF A SHARK

THE DEADLY BITE OF A SHARK

The pain ricochets within my heartĀ
It has drained my emotionsĀ
Causing my life to fall apartĀ

I've been doused with gasolineĀ
Set on fire, and left to burnĀ
By the one who called me sweetheartĀ
To whom I am now, her hearts scorn

What did I do
To have this death sentenceĀ
Pronounced upon my life

I had accepted the responsibilitiesĀ
Of being a father to her childrenĀ
Her first husband, and a friend for life

But hidden from my knowledgeĀ
Was a blaze that had kept its flame
I was introduced to this sidewinderĀ
I still recall his nameĀ

He hug me like a brotherĀ
And greeted me like a friendĀ
My love for her he saw like the sunshineĀ
But His flattery was all pretenseĀ

I walk among wolvesĀ
Whose speech is as a dog's bark
They are crafty and cunning as the serpentĀ
And their bite is as deadly as a killer shark.

Yep definitely my cup of tea, I felt everything in this poem Wilford, from the disdain, desperation and that survival instinct. Powerful message here my friend. I hope you are ok
