The devil and the fox
Alone the devil walked one-dayÂ
Through the trembling wood
And he came upon two Fox and kits
Teaching them to playÂ
The father fox banished himÂ
"There are no deals to be made"
But mother fox cried for himÂ
For a mother he must haveÂ
A woman so tender kind and great
A woman whose son was cast away
A mother the devil hadÂ
Before he ran awayÂ
Surely she loved him taught him to play
And now she watches day by day
He makes deals for souls of his sister'sÂ
His brothers he mocks their way
Mother fox cried for himÂ
Through the night and dayÂ
For she is a mother to a son
A son she loves every day.
